Setting up your ProSBC or TMG
Setting up your ProSBC or TMG
MaaS connects to your TelcoBridges units via RESTful API calls. This section covers the network and account configuration required to enable monitoring.
Network Access Requirements
Firewall Configuration
Allow inbound HTTPS (or HTTP) traffic from MaaS to your ProSBC or TMG management interface on your chosen port. We strongly recommend using HTTPS for secure API communication.
ProSBC Public IP Option
ProSBC units include an integrated firewall and can be assigned a public IP address directly, eliminating the need for port forwarding if preferred.
IP Address Configuration for High Availability (1+1) Deployments
If you are running a 1+1 HA configuration, MaaS must connect to a floating IP address that fails over between the primary and secondary units.
Important: Do not use a Fixed Management interface for monitoring. These addresses do not fail over, and MaaS will lose connectivity during a failover event.
Recommended IP Interface Types:
IP Interface with OAMP/NAT service (Preferred) – This interface type floats to the secondary unit during catastrophic failures, ensuring uninterrupted API access.
VoIP Interface – VoIP interfaces float by default and can be used for monitoring access.

User Account Configuration
Create a read-only Web GUI user account for MaaS to use for API authentication.
Instructions: Follow the user creation process documented here: Creating Web Users - ProSBC Documentation
Permissions: Read-only access is sufficient for monitoring purposes.
Next Step: Once your firewall rules, IP configuration, and user account are prepared, proceed to "Information for TB Team" to provide TelcoBridges with the connection details.
